When I first turned to raw foods and eliminated sugar, dairy, wheat, yeast, soya and meat I found it hard to know what to eat. I understand this is common with such a drastic change of diet and believe the information around about raw food can feel overwhelming. I have put together a collection of recipes below that work for my family and I hope you will find them useful.


Although you might want to eat 100% raw food, there is no pressure to do so and in my opinion it is not essential. Even the raw food guru Gabriel Cousens suggests recipes in his books which include some cooked foods. There are some raw food fans who eat 100% raw and others who like to include some cooked foods, but are still fully committed to the benefits of raw food. Many of the problems with common cooked foods are how processed they are and the inclusion of ingredients such as unhealthy fats, processed dairy, wheat, sugar and processed soya in the food. Even a cooked vegetarian or vegan diet can often contain many of these unhealthy foods.
