I generally have a Green Smoothie in the morning. My kids sometimes take a sip and can be persuaded to drink more if I put some carob powder in it! We went to a raw food pot luck in Bedford a few days ago and there was green juice there - my kids loved it. I gave up making them green juice ages ago as they never drank it but here was my chance to try again. I put in 2 apples, 1/2 cucumber, 2 sticks celery, a big bunch of spinach and it was fantastic - the kids even drank it. In fact I was so inspired by using my juicer again for something more than making ice cream out of frozen bananas that I decided to celebrate - instead of putting my usual home made almond mylk on my buckwheaties and fruit this morning I had them with green juice! In fact, this is a great time to let you know about the fantastic new juicer that we have just started selling in the Have Raw Cake And Eat It online shop. The Matstone comes in Ivory or Burgundy and is a masticating juicer, cold pressing all fruits and vegetables to provide a better quality, nutrient rich high-enzyme juice at a gentle 80 rpm. They will also juice wheatgrass as well as grind and mince and with an optional extra they will even extract oil - all at a great price.
