have raw cake and eat it
I can’t find a better way to encourage my children to eat all of that lovely kale we get in our vegetable box at this time of year than in these lovely Kale Krackers. I remember the first time I made them I thought I would have to cover them in chocolate to persuade them to eat them because they were so green - but no, they ate the whole batch straight from the dehydrator. These have been a long time favourite in our house.
Big bag of kale - use it all apart from touch stems
7 apples
3 raw dates
juice of 1/2 lemon
1.Core the apples, quarter and put into blender with lemon juice, dates, kale and just enough water to get the blender going.
2.Blend for a couple of minutes until it makes a pulp, adding a bit of extra water if necessary or if it is a bit too thick to pour onto the dehydrator sheets.
3.Pour out onto dehydrator sheets
4.Dehydrate for 2 hours at 53 degrees and then overnight at 38 degrees. During the dehydration process.
5.Remove from dehydrator and chop into squares. Keep in a sealed container in the fridge.

We don’t stock the ingredients for this recipe, but they should be easy to buy anywhere. If you can’t find a source of raw dates you can pre-order them through us every month or two.
