have raw cake and eat it

 

This is so easy to make and a great way to persuade my little ones to eat freshly ground linseeds. They are great with some cooked beans like pinto or kidney beans mixed with raw salsa, fresh coriander and guacamole. Alternatively you can just eat them like crisps!


500g bag frozen organic sweetcorn

50g golden linseed


  1. 1.Take the sweetcorn out of the bag and defrost enough for your blender to pulverise it.

  2. 2.Blend sweetcorn with 150ml water to a pulp - you might need to add extra water to get it going.

  3. 3.Grind the flax seeds in a grain mill, coffee grinder or grinder attachment to your food processor/blender/juicer, until it is a fine powder.

  4. 4.Mix the flax powder and corn pulp together and pour into circles on your dehydrator sheets.

  5. 5.Dehydrate for 2 hours at 53 degrees and then overnight at 38 degrees. During the dehydration process, when they are hard enough, flip over onto the mesh sheet.
