have raw cake and eat it

 

We sometimes make this as an alternative to almond mylk and store it in the fridge in a glass pitcher with a lid. The kids like it as a drink. I pour it over my buckwheaties and fruit for breakfast. If you have a milk maker it is very easy to make raw nut mylks but you can also use a blender.


60g raw chia seeds

2 dessert spoons carob powder or 2 carob pods, seeds removed

1 litre filtered water


  1. 1.Soak chia seeds in water for 8 hours.

  2. 2.Put chia seeds, carob and water in blender and blend for a minute.

  3. 3.Pour into a jug or lined with muslin or a nut mylk bag and strain.

  4. 4.Refrigerate and enjoy.
