Electronics and Recipes
Preparing your whole healthy recipe needs not only the availability of the right ingredients. The perfect recipe is made more perfect when the person who readies the meals uses the right equipment for food preparation and cooking. Back in the old times, cooking was more complicated and tedious because electronic kitchen equipment was non-existent. But now, with the advent of technology, cooking is made more enjoyable and convenient, thanks to the birth of modern kitchen devices.
A typical household would use electric and gas cookers, which are both responsible for some considerable amount of carbon-dioxide emissions. Carbon dioxide is released during electricity production and gas combustion, so for the family who lives with the principles of a green home and environment, it is therefore advisable to avoid using electronic kitchen equipment that can further harm the atmosphere.
A good action to lessen carbon dioxide emission is using a pressure cooker which speeds up the time of cooking, saving up to two thirds of fuel used during the whole process. Furthermore, the vitamins in the food especially in vegetables are retained because of the shorter length of time the food is cooked.
Another smart move to help minimise these damaging emissions would be to buy a solar oven for one's home. Perhaps the best thing about solar ovens is the fact that these appliances use sunlight for energy. Moreover, aside from the money incurred in constructing a solar oven, it is absolutely costless every time it is used. However, during cloudy and less-sunny days, solar cookers cannot be of so much help for cooking purposes so a backup fuel source should be prepared.
